We are approximately halfway between the City Centre and the UCC (University City Cork) - a 5 minute walk to either. Washington Street is a lively area, with plenty of pubs, restaurants and entertainment venues in close proximity. |
Coming from Cork Airport:
Leave the airport and turn left at the roundabout. Continue down the hill until you reach the Kinsale road roundabout, take the 3rd exit signposted City Centre. Continue through 2 sets of traffic lights, and position yourself in the left hand lane. At the 3rd set of lights turn left, position yourself in the right hand lane and continue straight through the next set of lights. Follow the road as it veers left, and then turn right at the lights. Follow the road along Georges Quay and turn right over the first bridge, take a left at the lights onto South Mall and follow the road round to the right into Grand Parade. Go through 1 set of lights and continue past the park on your left and get into the left hand lane. At the 2nd set of traffic lights turn left into Washington Street. Continue along Washington Street, past the Courthouse on your right, Westview Apartments is situated on the left adjacent to the Pronuptia Wedding shop.
Coming by car from Shannon Airport:
Take the Dual Carriageway towards Limerick City (N19) and follow signpost to Tralee/Cork. Drive straight for few kilometers until you reach a V junction (your are at Patrickswell). Follow signs to Cork City and drive on the Primary Route N20. Travel through the villages of Mallow and Blarney and after about 90 kms you'll arrive in Cork City. Drive always on the road N20 towards the city centre. Pass the Maire McSwiney Bridge and at the T junction turn right onto the N20-North City Link Road until you reach the River Lee. Cross the river and turn left onto Merchant's Quay and right onto Saint Patrick's Street. Follow the street as it veers left and at the traffic lights turn right into Washington Street. Continue along Washington Street, past the Courthouse on your right, Westview Apartments is situated on the left adjacent to the Pronuptia Wedding shop.
Coming from Kerry Airport (Ferranfore):
All you have to do is to leave the airport towards Killarney --> Cork driving on the Primary Route N22. Once in Cork City follow signs to the city centre (drive always ahead on the N22). The road changes onto Western Road (notice the UUC on your right hand side) and onto Lancaster Quay. Driving always straight, after few meters, the road will change again onto Washington Street. We are on your right hand side.
By Train:
Connections to all major rail-linked towns and cities in the country can be made. Cork's Kent Station is not so close, so we suggest you to take a taxi. |
