Television
National radio and television services are operated by Radio Telefís Éireann (RTE). There are two public television channels; RTE1 which broadcasts mainly news and documentary style programmes, and Network2 which features films, sports and light entertainment shows. TV3 is a new private channel with many American and British soaps and comedies.
