We had two problems with the hotel. The first is that a message did not get to the third person staying with us regarding our late arrival. She had to make international calls to find out. However, the hotel did reverse the call charges and recognized that it was their mistake in not giving her the message. The second was that we asked for a wake up call one morning and it did not come. Thankfully we woke up on time. The next three mornings we did get an early wake up call even though we did not order one.
All in all we were satisfied with the hotel. It was clean and well maintained. And, the room was a lot larger then we expected when compared to other hotels we have stayed in throughout Europe. If I return to Dublin I would choose to stay there again because the staff were helpful, the rooms and public areas were clean and it was conveniently located. ... The Principal Hotel was clean, well appointed, conveniently located and staff were polite and friendly. But then, everyone in Ireland was polite and friendly.
