How To Reach Us

By Plane
The airport that is placed closer to the property is Farranfore, the terminal serving County Kerry: it is found around 55 kms from the bed & breakfast, welcoming connections from London, Frankfurt, Manchester and several islands in Spain. You may also land at Dublin international airport, located 350 kilometres from the village of Kenmare.

By Car
As you leave Dublin airport, get on highway M1 and abandon it at exit 9, heading towards M50 South. As you approach Lucan, take the third exit at a roundabout, into N7/E20, and then highway M7. Once you have gone by the town of Mountrath, continue along N7, N20, N21 and at Caistleland, turn left into N23. Do it once again in N22 and at the next roundabout, drive into the third exit, road N72, which leads to Killarney. At this city, take the second exit at the first roundabout, R877, go along Beech Road and Laneway, and at the next roundabout, drive into the fourth exit, N71. Eventually you will arrive in Kenmare: in order to reach Oakfield, veer left at the post-office, cross the bridge over Kenmare Bay, and immediately afterwards you're your right at road R571 Ring of Beara: around 5 kms ahead the inn comes into view on your left hand side, right past Sailor`s Bar. (This journey takes around 5 hours). If you are coming from Farranfore, you will have to drive around 50 minutes: just take your left in motorway N22 and follow the indications already given.

By Train
The owners of Oakfield advise their guests to rent a car for their stay at the bed & breakfast. From the centre of Kenmare, the only way to reach the property otherwise is by taxi. The town is connected by bus with Killarney, placed 30 kms away, the journey takes half an hour-, and here there is a railway station welcoming services from Dublin (they take around 3 hours and a half, departing from Heuston station and making a stop at Mallow). Otherwise, at Farranfore you can take a bus to Killarney, and then another to Kenmare. Bear in mind that at Dublin airport you can reach the centre of the city in 35 minutes on the buses signalled as "Dublin Busβras, Store St".
