At Kenmare, you will feel like taking strolls even if you bring your own car, because the scenery is absolutely unique: Kenmare Bay, the main attraction in the area, is less than 5 minutes on foot from the property. These waters are enclosed by the mountains of Kerry and Cork, and it was this particular geography what earned the village its curious name: "Kenmare", stands for the Irish "Neidin", which means "little nest" or "little cradle". |
Oakfield was built in 1981 and throughout the years it has undertaken several works of renovation: it is a two-storey delicately furnished house placed 5 minutes driving from the centre of Kenmare. Inside, your will find 5 guestrooms, two of which are located on the upper level, featuring fascinating views of Kenmare Bay. |
At Oakfield, Marian and Morty O`Sullivan will be pleased to help you out with all your enquiries and doubts on directions and excursions. In the surrounding area you can go fishing, visit the Ring of Kerry and Waterfall Valley, among many other scenic points that will be worth a hundred photoshoots. |
