 Kenmare town is two miles from Limestone cottages, here you will find a great selection of restaurants, pubs and craft shops. There are local food supply stores in the town. Kenmare tourist office is located in the Square in Kenmare town. You can find out here about the many enjoyable walks in the vacinity. Boat trips around Kenmare bay can be taken from Kenmare pier and there is a sailing centre approximately 5 miles from cottages on Castletownbeare road. There are two 18 hole golf courses located closeby. Kenmare golf course is 2 miles from Limestone cottages and the Ring of Kerry golf course is 5 miles. Waterville links golf course is approx 45 miles, there are many other golf courses within 30 miles of Kenmare eg Killarney or Glengariff. There are numerous lakes and rivers around Kenmare for those interested in angling. Killarney National Park and Muckross House and gardens are 20 miles from Limestone cottages. Garnish Island is 19 miles. |
