Great and easy check in. ... My husband and I can not say enough wonderful things about our stay at the Kingfisher. We have only ever stayed in hotels before, so we were nervous. The bed and breakfast was in a great location, the food was amazing, the people were all very kind and helpful (arranging taxis', tours, extra towels). Our room was spotless, showers super hot and more than a great size. We were able to walk about a block to the near by shopping district and to catch all of our tours. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The Kingfisher made our trip one will absolutely repeat. We loved it! ... We had a flight very early and had to leave at 4:00 am. They had a continental breakfast waiting for us, as well as a wake-up call and taxi. We requested to pay the night before we left and they were so helpful. ... The rooms are more spacious than they appear. The food was wonderful and they also offer an option to include dinner in with your price per a night...we had dinner there one night an loved it. We would have included dinner our first and last night.

... The people at the Kingfisher are awesome! They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. It really felt like a home away from home. They let us eat our breakfast at 3 in the afternoon when we were jetlagged, they did our laundry for us when the laundry places were all closed on a Sunday, when we came back from touring Ireland and the kitchen was about to close they brought us food to our room, they gave us advice about places to go and treated us like royalty. I still miss them! ... The KingFisher was in a great location, and the people there really take care of you. It's a great place to stay.

Excellent location in the city centre. Room facilities were above average for a guest house and very good value for money. Every one in our party of nine people would recommend Kingfisher.

The breakfast was great. The front door of the hotel slammed HARD,every few minutes when people came and went and the slamming rattled the doors and windows in our room - it was very annoying. ... The location was decent - walking distance to all of the city and just around the corner from public transp. The staff was friendly, the in room coffee service and refrigerator was very handy and the room was sufficient in size and amenities. And the breakfast at the restaurant was great. However, the carpet in the room and blankets on the bed were dirty and the front door slammed so hard ( every few minutes) that it caused our doors and windows to rattle and was quite annoying.

It was a bit strange to us finding the property with blinds folded down and no clear advice which bell to ring to get a concierge open the door. The staircase is very narrow and its hard to handle the suitcases up the second floor without an elevator. ... The bathroom was not satisfingly cleaned (dirt and hair on the floor), the room itself looked rather used (floor tiles missing ...).
As the breakfast is served in the restaurant belonging to the property, you have to go out on the street and enter by a separate entrance - not nice, if you want to go to breakfast with your slippers. Further, on Sundays the breakfast is not served before 9 am. ... narrow staircase, breakfast in restaurant with separate entrance ... It was sufficient for a stay if you only go there for sleeping, but quite expensive compared to bed and breakfast properties.

Bus stop names would be a plus. ... SORTA
Air conditioning was provided via window. I stayed an extra nite because location was very good.
Unseasonably warm during visit so I had windows wide open to stay cool. ...
very good value, hands down ...
As close as the bus stop is, I would say the stop name right in the directions. it was close and I ended up missing it. ...
nice, guest house, homey

The map that was provided online didn't have a 'pointer' to tell me which direction was NORTH so when I got off the bus on O'Connell street I didn't know which direction to go. We ended up wandering around for an hour trying to find '60 yards off O'Connell Street' We found it an hour later but the directional pointer would have been most helpful. (I have never been to Dublin before) ... I'm a non-smoker so the only real complaint that I have is that the room we stayed in had been smoked in. To a non-smoker you can smell it right away. But other than that it was an excellent room. I don't think there was an option for 'smoking' or 'non-smoking' so overall it was great! ... Euro to American Dollars of course is pretty high exchange rate but I knew what I was getting so it was right on. ... Everything was perfect. The staff was nice, the room was clean and ready for our arrival, and check out was easy and smooth. ... Kingfisher House is located almost dead center in Dublin. You can get to anything you want from there and the staff is most accomidating as far as directions and information goes. The room was perfect and exactly what I asked for. Most importantly I will remember Kingfisher House and stay there again when I go back.

The only thing I would say is it would be better if you could have your own key to let yourself in at the front door at night as we had to wait a while to be let in. The other thing which we experienced even though we were guests we could get into the restaurant at night and the staff told us in the morning we wouldn't have to book at table. The main thing is though we both really enjoyed our stay and my girlfriend had a nice birthday due to the wine and chocolates in the room on arrival. Many thanks for organising this. ... The staff are very friendly and polite. The rooms are very bright and clean and comfortable. It is good value for money. The breakfast was very good and you had a good choice. Also the guesthouse is in a good location for getting around Dublin

We arrived before check in and had to leave our luggage in their secure lobby area. They did carry luggage up to the top floor. ... The concierge was on duty for over twenty four hours due to another employee's illness. He wnet out of his way to give advice and offer service despite the fact he must have been very tired. The beds were comfortable. It was very easy to walk to O'Connell ST. to access bus transport. I'd highly recommend again. My brother stayed at a hostel for more money and ledd desirable facility. The breakfast was excellent and provided in a restaruant next door. On the morning we left, the restaurant was not open yet so they delivered a continental breaksfast the night before. ... The Kingfisher is a small but very clean hotel that has excellent location, good beds, friendly staff, access to high speed computer next door. The only drawback is there is no lift and may not be suitable for physically challenged clients. I'd stay again with no hesitation.

the guesthouse itself was full when we arrived but they also have some apartments a few doors away which they put us into. It was a lovely very spacious 2 bedroom unit. The only negitive comment I have about our stay was that the building didn't have an elevator as it was built in 1895 and our room was on the 3rd. floor. We had a lot of luggage and had to get it to the room ourselves. If we had have known this we would have requested a room on the 1st. floor. Also our T.V. didn't have cable so we couldn't watch any T.V. while there. Otherwise it was great with a perfect location and a great breakfast included. ... Very clean and spacious but not suitable for elderly or handicapped people because of the lack of an elevator and lots of stairs.

The people were very nice. The only problem I had was the TV must have had a short in the cord because the picture kept going on and off. But, I told the clerk when I checked out. I enjoyed staying at the Kingfisher and would consider it again. ... Comfy, nice and very good bargain in a good location.

- ... Nothing special, everything was ok! ... - ... - ... The Kingfisher Guesthouse is located centrally, everything you need is near. Although location is central it is still very quiet. Our room was okay: the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed also The Kingfisher Restaurant`s food!
I would recommend the kingfisher Guesthouse if you want to stay in the centre of Dublin with reasonable price.

Excellent location and amenities. I would recommend to anyone that is planning a trip to Dublin. Only complaint was that there is construction going on in the office spaces below the accommodations so be prepared for a loud 0700 wakeup every morning except Sunday. :-) ... Spacious rooms with modern amenities. ... This was a wonderful property. Very much improved over what I had anticipated for a property in Central Dublin. The spacious rooms and modern amenities were vastly improved over anything that I have experience during my previous stays in a European B&B.

We had a smoker-room, but we asked at our reservation for a non-smoker-room. (Maybe there was no available non-smoker-room.) Maybe there should be more non-smoker-rooms in the facility. ... It is an ideal place to stay, because it is so close to the city centre, very good for a trip to Dublin. You can reach all the places of interest within a short walk.

We were very pleased with our accommodations at the Kingfisher in Dublin.
Expecting somewhat cramped guesthouse rooms, we were delighted to find ourselves in a two bedroom/two bath apartment.
Also, the location of the Kingfisher was great. It made several of the places that we wanted to go within walking distance.
I would definitely recommend the Kingfisher to anyone visiting Dublin.

Manager was very nice and helpful in getting us another bed due to another person staying, but from what i thought we would have had two beds as it was but only one double bed. But it was fine. ... After hours - when friend got lost - again manager very helpful knowing exactly what room she was in - let her in. Very grateful for that.... ... Checking out was so quick and easy. I would definately go backa s I know the area well - so very happy with going and coming back. ... Nice, small, homey, feeling guesthouse lovely to stay when away for a night or two and want to shop, also close enough to go back with those heavy bags!!!!!!

There were no headboards on the bed and the wall paper had been put around then therefor the was areas on the walls without paper. this didnt look appealing. The wardrobe smelt of swetty trainers and couldnt get rid of the smell for the duration of the stay so we had to put our clothes on hangers around the room! Friends stayed in another room whick was beautifull! ... Although it was a self contained room with Microwave, kitchenette there were no cooking utensils or crockery to use! ... Good location, clean & tidy. Maid service daily. self contained room but could do with redecorating.

More precise information would have been appreciated when we get off at Gresham hotel exit, which way to turn on O'Connell St., which side of Parnell i.e. right or left, etc. The more information a tourist get, the better the first contact is. Thank you. ... We have really apprecitated the location of Kingfisher Guesthouse. No need to take the bus or taxi to visit the city. The Kingfisher restaurant serves a really good breakfast as well as other meals if we wish to have dinner there.
