oysters then this is your festival. Galway claims it has the best
oyster beds in Ireland and this festival is the celebration of the
beginning of the season. The oysters are generally three years old
and is sampled with homemade brown bread and Guinness. The season
starts on 1st of September, continues through the winter months,
and finishes on the last day of April.
