Pubs
are part of the spirit and the culture of Ireland and they are a real "must-see"
if you visit Ireland. The best way to see the Irish people enjoying "the
craic" (loosely translated as "the fun") is in their famous pubs,
supping on a scoop of Guinness and munching on a packet of Tayto (Irish for potato
crisps).
There are very few rules in an Irish bar but you do have to
be over eighteen years of age to drink alcohol. Tipping is not required in Irish
pubs, but the barman may appreciate it if you offer him a drink.
