The Palm Tree Bistro serves a wide selection of sandwiches, Danish pastries, scones and cookies throughout the day. Our hot dishes of the day together with a variety of different pies, quiches and salads provide a delicious healthy and nutritious lunch. The full wine list is available together with beers, soft drinks, fresh tea and coffee.  Golf at Deer Park:
Deer Park is Ireland's largest golf complex with a vast array of golf courses that offer great golf for everyone, including guests of Deer Park hotel. It is set in 450 acres of tranquil parkland overlooking the sea and near the picturesque village of Howth. The selection of golf is varied. The main course is the Deerpark 18 hole course is in a wonderful parkland setting. Alongside this are two excellent 9-hole courses; the Grace O'Malley and the St.Fintans nine hole courses; that can also be played as a second 18-hole course. |
 Deer Park also boasts a full-length 12 holes Par 3 short course. All of this is topped off by a championship 18-hole Pitch & Putt course and a large putting green. Close to Dublin city, with all the amenities of Howth village, Deer Park Hotel offers the best location in Ireland for your golf vacation. All of the courses offer a true test of Parkland golf and all have the stunning backdrops of the Irish Sea and Ireland's Eye and Lambay Island, Howth Head and the magnificent Deer Park Castle and a panoramic view of Dublin and its suburbs. It is a backdrop that cannot be equalled anywhere. The first course to open was the 9 hole Grace O'Malley course which was finished in 1973. The final work on our other courses was completed in 1998. Fred Hawtree had acres of mature woodland to work within when he set about designing the various courses and it was the existing surroundings that allowed him to create courses with the variety and challenges as those listed within the pages above.

 Featuring over 2000 species of Rhododendron, this area of the gardens is splendid all summer long but at it's very best in May or June. From the gardens the view is spectatular. The novelist HG Wells described it as "the finest view west of Naples". You could say that the Deerpark has been famous for it's facilities for a very long time.
The Rhododendrons:
The grounds are perfect for walking at any time of the year, offering breathtaking views of the coastline, Irelands Eye and the countryside surounding the suburbs of Dublin. Throughout May and early June the walks are even more beautiful when the Rhododendrons bloom. These beautiful plants carpet the entire hillside behind the hotel. |
