Cappabhaile is a superb guesthouse located in the heart of the Burren, just outside Ballyvaughan, between Aillwee Cave and the Burren College of Art. The village of Ballyvaughan is part of the County Clare which is located on the West coast of Ireland overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Ballyvaughan is on the main road between Galway and the Cliffs of Mohir. The House is on the N67, at one mile from the village church on the way to Aillwee Cave. The House dominates the valley between the Ailwee Cave and Newtown Castle.

How To Reach Us
 
Coming by Plane+Car:
The nearest Airport is Shannon, located at 45 Km from the Cappabhaile House. Shannon airport receives daily flights from many destinations in Ireland and abroad (including the US and some cities in Europe as London). To arrive to the guesthouse, you could take a taxi from the airport. Cars could be rented at the airport as well. If you arrive from the airport by car take the N18 route north out of Limerick, drive past Newmarket-on-Fergus and through the town of Ennis, after four sets of traffic lights you will arrive at a roundabout. Take the first exit and drive out of Ennis on the N85. Just outside the town, take the right hand turn for Corofin (not very obvious) and taking the R476 drive through Corofin Village and continue for 7km. At the castle take the right hand turn and proceed on the R480 for 8KM. At the end of this road take a right and the Cappabhaile House is located on the left hand side as you go towards the village of Ballyvaughan.

Coming by Car:
- From Galway:
Take the N18 route south out of Galway, drive past Oranmore, through Clarenbridge and continue for 2km to the small village of Kilcolgan. In the village of Kilcogan take the right hand turn, N67, drive to Kinvara and continue for a further 17km to the village of Ballyvaughan. In the centre of Ballyvaughan Village take a left hand turn, drive past the church and continue towards Ailwee Cave. Cappabhaile House is located on the right hand side of the road one mile on from the Church.
- From Kerry (by ferry + car):
Take the ferry at Tarbert which arrives in Kilimer. There are a number of options the shortest of which is to go to Kilrush, then Cooraclare, then Quilty, Miltown Malbay, Lahinch, Ennistymon, Lisdoonvarna. At this point follow the signs for Ballyvaughan and Cappabhaile House could be found on the left hand side on your way into the village after the junction to Aillwee cave.

Coming by Train:
The nearest railway station is in Ennis. Once there you can reach us by taxi.
