In
the past two centuries Irish people have moved from their country
to North and South America, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand
and Britain, in search of better living conditions.
Irish communities
of emigrants have always kept their traditions alive and after two
or three generations there is still a keen interest in finding their
Irish ancestry and discovering their Irish roots.
Fortunately,
Irish public archives and records have been carefully preserved
and some of them offer free genealogy services and experts to help
people in the search for their family roots.
