 The market town of Ennis is steeped in historic and cultural interest; its cobbled streets can lead you to many of its wonderful shops, scenic walks, and friendly atmosphere. Ardilaun Guesthouse is superbly located for a days visit to the world famous Burren /Cliffs of Moher in Ennis Town. Here you can ramble back in time to explore this beautiful and unique natural formation with its thousands of varieties of flowers, foliage and rock formations. The Cliffs are one of the most spectacular tourist attractions in Ireland. This boundary's with the Atlantic Ocean rise 700 feet above sea level and a visit is a prerequisite to anyone visiting Ireland. The Cliffs are situated near Ballyvaughen in north Clare and are only 30 minutes away from the Ardilaun Guesthouse. The center of Ennis town is at three minutes from Ardilaun Guesthouse, offering a variety of options to have fun, shop, and enjoy the local food in its restaurants, or the drinks in the pubs (especially the tasty Irish beer!). The well known cities of Galway and Limerick in west Ireland are located at only 45 minutes drive from Ardilaun House. Galway is at 45 minutes ride to the North and Limerick is at 45 minutes ride to the South. |

Coming by Plane:
Shannon airport receives daily flights from many destinations in Ireland and abroad (including the US and some cities in Europe as London) and it's located at only 20 minutes car ride from Ardilaun Guesthouse. To arrive to the Ardilaun House, you could take a taxi from the airport. Cars could be rented at the airport as well.
Coming by Plane+Car:
- Arriving from the airport to Ardilaun Guesthouse by car is very simple and fast. Just take the route Main
Ennis/Galway Road (N18). The Ardilaun House is located at Galway Road and you will easily discern it.
- To arrive to the Ardilaun House from Galway, take the main Ennis/Galway Road (N 18) to the South.
You will find us on the right hand side before entering Ennis.
- To arrive to the Ardilaun House from Limerick, take the main Ennis/Galway Road (N 18) to the North.
You will find us along the street on the left hand side driving in direction of Galway.
Coming by Car:
From South please follow the above instructions from Limerick, from North follow the instructions from Galway.
Coming by Train:
From Ennis railway station you can reach us by taxi (it takes 10 minutes). |
