 Click to view the map | The Ardwan House is just at 5 minutes walk downhill of the city center of Galway. Here the train and bus station is located as well as the tourist information office. Galway is famous for its medieval style and also for being a university city, attracting young and adults either way. The place offers many shops, great food at restaurants, pubs that serve the traditional Irish beers and other drinks, and a variety of cultural and artistic activities that include lively music performances, dance, theatre plays and diverse festivals. The city is surrounded by mountains, castles and stone walls, and has the splendid Galway Bay -immortalized in a famous Irish song- where the best sightseeing, including fabulous sunsets, and walks could be enjoyed around the sandy beaches.

Coming by Plane + Car The Ardwan House is at 15 kilometers from Galway airport, where local flights from Dublin, Belfast, Cork, and other cities from Ireland and abroad arrive daily. There is also a bus running from Dublin airport to Galway airport (15 km far from us). At the airport it's possible also to rent a car. To arrive to the guesthouse from there, take Ballybrit Road to the right and continue straight until the traffic circle. Pass it straight taking the Monivea Road, that will change name to Wellpark Road and finally to College Road, where the Ardawn House is located. Coming by Car From South (Limerick) take N18 in direction Galway. Proceed in direction of the city center, and at the roundabout take the second exit (N6). At the roundabout called Bothar Na Dtreabh take the first exit, continue on Ballybaan Road, turn right on R339/Monivea Road, then take the R339 and finally take College Road. You will find us on the right hand side at the beginning of the street. Parking available.
Coming by Train Take the train or bus until Galway station. From the station, take Forster Street to your right and walk straight for about two minutes until it becomes College Road. The Ardawn House is on that Road, so you will find it easily. |
