 Cobh (formerly Queenstown) overlooks one of the largest natural harbours in the world. Many people emigrated from Ireland in the 1800's here, to various destinations such as USA, Canada and Australia. Cobh was also the last port of call of the ill fated liner SS. Titanic and the port where the victims of the Lusitania were brought ashore. All facilities and attractions of Cobh are within a few minutes walk from the house, including the Cathedral, Heritage Centre, Railway station and Museum, as well as the popular bars and restaurants of the area.
