Aengus House is placed at the end of the Long Walk where the harbor meets Galway Bay. The House offers fantastic views of Galway Bay and Galway's historic Claddagh and it's at only three minutes walk to Quay Street, where you will find a shop street that will meet all your requirements for shopping. Galway is famous for its medieval style and also for being a university city, attracting young and adults either way. The place offers many shops, great food at restaurants, pubs that serve the traditional Irish beers and other drinks, and a variety of cultural and artistic activities that include lively music performances, dance, theatre plays and diverse festivals. The city is surrounded by mountains, castles and stone walls, and has the splendid Galway Bay -immortalized in a famous Irish song-, where the best sightseeing, including fabulous sunsets, and walks could be enjoyed around the sandy beaches. The Aengus House is just at minutes walk downhill of the city center of Galway. Here the train and bus station is located as well as the tourist information office. Nearby the Ardawn House, guests could experience a wide variety of activities to do indoors and outdoors, enjoying all the options of Galway city. For those who like to explore the nature and outdoors activities and sports, the best options are the sandy beach, the bicycle rental, angling, and a variety of water sports in one of the largest coastlines in Ireland, from sailing in a traditional Galway sailing boat, to rowing, and from canoeing to diving.
