I had additional requirements posted on very short notice, yet they were all catered for. Assistant was helpful and friendly despite late hour check-in.
... The bedspings were a bit worn, otherwise everything was most pleasant. Although the room faced directly on the street, it was satisfyingly quiet. Cleanliness was perfect. The staff were most helpful and flexible in every way, ready to fulfil our wishes and to give advice on eating, sightseeing or shopping. Our special thanks go to the kitchen staff for great service and good meals. ... Prompt and courteous service, place to leave luggage after check-out. ... round-the-clock reception service no parking facilities direct bus-line connection from airport ... Chose it for the first stop on our honeymoon trip and were fully satisfied. A cozy place with a traditional atmosphere and good service. Excellent location, modest traffic on street.

our room was situated too near the reception area and noisey due to the need for residents to ring buzzer to gain entrance both night and day. ... good location, but ensure you have a room away from the reception area

We had to ring many times when we arriwed. But after then, the receptionist was wery-wery helpful and kind.
... It was perfect, we finded a very familiar atmosphere. The breakfasts were substantial, the service was kind and helpful. Thanks a lot for the many brochures about traves and places of interests. Our room was presentable. The bathroom was cleaned, but we had strange to use that faucet, (always mixed the cold and hot water). At the shower the water flowing was difficult case.
BUT, everything was good. ... Well, we checked out at 5.30 am, so I had to awaken the receptionist that we left the Hotel. ...
It was perfect, we finded a very familiar atmosphere. The breakfasts were substantial, the service was kind and helpful. Our room was presentable, althought the bed was not a 'king size'. It was a little bit narrow and it has been needed another duvet. There were only one clothes hanger :(
... It was perfect, we finded a very familiar atmosphere. The service was kind and helpful. Thanks a lot for the many brochures about traves and places of interests. I liked that Hotel was not too far from the O'Connell street!!
Everything was good, all of them we enjoyed to stay there, next time we will choose the Abbot Lodge Guesthouse AGAIN! :)

Bed linen and towels clean and a decent breakfast but rooms were worse that we could expect. Stuff friendly and just because we booked for four people, finally arrived three and paid for that.
If you have been in Spain you know that you can find a double room in a 4 stars hotel paying less than a 100€ per night. That is why I am thinking that this kind of rooms are normal in Dublin and that we must not make comparisons. But I have to tell you my truth. We felt shocked when we reached the rooms. Of course, they were very far from what we imagined taking a look to the web, but maybe this is usual in Dublin. Fortunately, we only needed a room to have a shower and rest. The location is perfect, decent stuff and nice breakfast but no more positive things to say. Thank you Antonio ... Two double rooms separated by a thin wall with a door so no privacy , a mini bathroom for share, clean towels and bed linen but cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, nice breakfast and decent stuff. Perfect location.

The breakfasts were excellent (compliments to the cook/chef) the rooms were clean and provided everything we needed. ... Had a great time and loved Ireland ... A nice person woke us at 5am as asked. Easily made it to the airport ... Great hot water, showers and a hair dryer. YEAY! ... EWxcellent value for money, close to the city and easy to get out of for travelling around. Top location for tourists.

As we were a big party some rooms were big and others were smaller although more than adequate. ... We had a problem with the taxis charge from the airport to the guesthouse on mentioning this to staff as we were leaving they were most annoyed and agreed to investigate this for us. We all felt that this was more than they needed to do as they had already organised for us to get back to airport. Good customer service. ... Clean, Friendly and Adequate. Exactly what was needed for a group of people travelling together and it was a good base to come back to given the locality to the city centre.

In my opinion Abbott Lodge Guesthouse is a very nice place where you can stay as in your home. I was there with my family on holidays to show them Dublin because I know it very well and they enjoyed very much there and they found it wonderful. The girls in the kitchen for the breakfast are so kind! Everything was perfect, very quite and calm. Thank you very much for everything. Cristina ... I recommend you stay in Abbott Lodge Guesthouse. ... The checking out was exactly the same as we expected. I think that the stay was a good value for the money that we payed. ... You should add the menu for the breakfast on the web. I think was excellent and the ladies who are for the breakfast are very nice and kind.

A young man helped me with my laggage up the stairs from the street, and the receptionist ,a lovely helpful guy, helped me get it up the stairs to the room. ... after reading some emails of former visitors I was a bit worried ( and even brought with me a towel and a bed sheet... I did not have to use them!!! The roome was clean, the beedings crisp white, A pleasure! The bathroom needs some extra fixing: a shelf, some hooks, and the air blower really does not blow any worm air.You do need to bring your own showe cap and soap/shampoo. But this realy is not a problem. ... We enjoyed our stay at Abbot Lodge. Breakfast was great and served in a nice dining room by a very pleasant staff. I highly recomend this place ,and if I happen to come to Dublin again I will not hesitate to stay there. ... a pleasant guesthouse.clean. friendly. Excelent food!

Good value for money in comparison with the other hotel in Dublin, but expensive if compared with the level of the accomodation ... Positive reception for 24 hours/day Negative very little size of rooms and bathrooms

We thought the beds in the room needed to be replaced, but they were serviceable. ... The pictures on the website were a little deceiving, especially those of the room itself. Especially at they related to space and quality of furniture. ... The staff was very helping in obtaining a cab for us. We have no complaints ... The toilet is noisy. ... It's a conveniently located, serviceable place to stay while you explore Dublin. Nothing fancy, nothing unacceptable.

Room was facing the road and since the weather was very warm we could not sleep with the window closed, room was too stuffy. Opening the window brought in all the street sounds and being a major city road, it was very noisy. Room was clean but small, bed uncomfortable and only one thin pillow each on a double bed. Kitchen staff at breakfast did not provide what I had asked for. Admittedly there were others having breakfast at the same time (approx 10 diners in total at the time) so it may have been forgotten, yet it was a simple request. On arrival for breakfast there was no coffee available. Would not stay at that property again. ... Average-priced B&B very close to city centre and walking distance to everything. Clean and modern amenities. Safe to walk around in groups or M/F couples at night but would not walk down that street as a lone female. Better than a backpackers for not too much more in Euros. Not the most comfortable nights sleep I've had in the world, but hey, you're not in Dublin to sleep so it doesn't really matter does it? Don't spend any time in the room other than sleeping and it's not a problem.

We asked for a double room and got a family room. ... There seemed to be decorating going on,which is acceptable but I expected my room to be finished. The curtains wouldn't draw as they had come off the rail, when told of this they said they couldn't get hold of the maintainance man! The numbers where off the door for the whole time we were there, three days. It was a very cold room with a poor heater. We ... They were very accomadating about holding onto bags as our flight was late in the evening. ... You should include Irish breakfast and continental. ... I would say that it was very close to the city centre but very basic and compared to English B&B price- wise quite expensive for what you get.

The staff was friendly. After watching all the photos in the internet we couldn't believe a double would be so small! The toilet hadn't been properly cleaned before our arrival. It seems like they don't fix anything that that gets broken, like huge holes in the wall...

Terribly noisy ventilation system(?) - placed at the back of the building - that started on and off throughout the night. It probably only affected us (our room = 106), but it was annoying. ... Good location, friendly staff. Watch out for room 106! (noise) Good breakfast.

The room was tiny. Barely bigger than the bed. But it was clean and the bathroom was spacious. No real complaints, other than the tight quarters.
